Campgrounds of Redwood
There are no campgrounds within the federally owned parts of Redwood National Park. However, there are four within the California state parks that are part of the mixed lands that make up the park.
Elk Prairie Campground
Size & Cost: 75 sites, $35 per site
Open: All Year
Reservations: Reserve Online
Location: On the Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park
Amenities: Running water, flush toilets, grills and picnic tables, dump station, showers
Demand: Very high. During the summer season, the campground will fill. Reservations are strongly suggested. In the offseason part of the campground closes.
Gold Bluffs Beach Campground
Size & Cost: 54 sites, $35 per site
Open: All Year
Reservations: Reserve Online
Location: At the end of the unpaved Davison Road in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park
Amenities: Running water, flush toilets, grills and picnic tables, solar showers
Demand: High. In the summer season, this campground is likely to fill. It is accessed by a rough, unpaved road, but is also near the ocean, making it a popular area.
Jedidiah Smith Campground
Size & Cost: 106 sites, $35 per site
Open: All Year

Location: Off of US-199 in Jedidiah Smith Redwoods State Park
Amenities: Running water, flush toilets, grills and picnic tables, dump station, showers
Demand: Very high. During the summer season, the campground will fill. Reservations are strongly suggested.
Mill Creek Campground
Size & Cost: 145 sites, $35 per site
Open: All Year
Reservations: Reserve Online
Location: Off of US-101 in Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park
Amenities: Running water, flush toilets, grills and picnic tables, dump station, showers
Demand: Very high. During the summer season, the campground will often fill. Reservations are strongly suggested.
