Weather in Acadia
Acadia National Park is within a maritime climate, which means its weather is generally milder than is otherwise the case this far north. Mount Desert Island temperatures are more moderate than those of inland Maine. The coastal climate of Maine is second only to the Pacific Northwest in annual precipitation. This moisture occurs in all forms within the park. Snow along with serious ice storms are common in winter as well as early spring. Rain is frequent throughout the year. Fog is common in the summer months.
