Campgrounds of Canyonlands
There are two developed campgrounds in Canyonlands National Park. There is one each in the Island in the Sky District and the Needles District. Both are quite small.
Squaw Flat Campground
Size & Cost: 29 sites, $20 per site
Open: All Year
Reservations: Online at recreation.gov
Location: In the Needles District on a side road 4.8 miles from the entrance
Amenities: Running water, vault toilets, fire rings and picnic tables
Demand: Very high. This campground is in the remote Needles District, but it is quite small. It is nearly always full during peak visitation.
Willow Flat Campground
Size & Cost: 12 sites, $15 per site
Open: All Year
Reservations: No, first come, first served
Location: In the Island in the Sky District on a side road 8.7 miles from the entrance
Amenities: Vault toilets, fire rings and picnic tables – there is no fresh water
Demand: Very high. This campground is in the more popular Island in the Sky District and is very small; it is nearly always full during peak visitation.
