This is the Great Sand Dunes National Park entry in the extensive Falcon Guides series. It also covers the adjacent Sangre de Cristos Mountains. When looking for a hiking guide book of a park, we generally look for the Falcon Guide first. With few exceptions, they are very good at what they do, and we like to have a consistent format to get used to.

This is a new hardcover book covering the natural and cultural history of Great Sand Dunes National Park. Those looking for a trip guide will not find that here, but it is a beautifully written and exhaustive history of this unique park.
