Campgrounds of Great Sand Dunes

Great Sand Dunes National Park has a single park-operated campground. It’s located about one mile north of the visitor center at the base of the main dunefield.

Pinyon Flats Campground

drink Amenities: Running water (in summer), flush toilets, grills and picnic tables, dump station

chart Demand: Very high. Pinyon Flats is adjacent to the dunes and most sites have at least some view of the dunes. This campground is very popular, especially on weekends. Reservations are strongly suggested.
