Soledad overnight lodging options

Soledad is a small town in California located along US-101. It has a couple of lodging choices. It is only 10 miles to the west entrance, but an hour’s drive to the east entrance. The park highway does not connect in the middle, so the two sides of the park are completely separate areas as far as vehicles go.

King City overnight lodging options

King City is another California town along US-101, south of Soledad. King City is probably the best base for visiting both sides of the park, although Salinas, below, is a good choice too. King City is about 25 miles from the west side of the park, and about 35 miles from the east side.

Salinas overnight lodging options

The city of Salinas is north of Pinnacles National Park, again along US-101. Salinas is a good sized city, with lots of all services available. It is roughly 35 miles to the west entrance and 55 miles to the east entrance. While this is further than King City is, above, Salinas is a much more developed area, and is not far from Monterey, another highly scenic area.
