Weather in Wind Cave
Wind Cave National Park is located in the Black Hills area of South Dakota, and has weather patterns typical to the region. Winters are very cold and fairly dry, while summers are warm with thunderstorms and hail common in June and July. The park is relatively constant in elevation and climate, and the readings below are representative of anywhere (above ground) in the park. The precipitation numbers are taken from nearby Hot Springs. Of course, within the cave the temperature is cool and constant year-round.
