Campgrounds of Yellowstone
Yellowstone is a massive national park, and has a large number of developed campgrounds to match. Of course, Yellowstone is also extremely popular, and campsites can be hard to find throughout the summer season. They are spread pretty evenly throughout the park.
Bridge Bay Campground
Size & Cost: 432 sites, $29 per site
Open: May through September
Reservations: Through Xanterra, Reserve Online
Location: 3.4 miles south of Fishing Bridge Junction on the Fishing Bridge to West Thumb section
Amenities: Running water, flush toilets, grills and picnic tables, dump station, camp store, showers nearby
Demand: Very high. This is an enormous campground, but does fill up in the prime of summer season. Reservations are suggested.
Canyon Campground
Size & Cost: 272 sites, $34 per site
Open: Late May through September
Reservations: Through Xanterra, Reserve Online
Location: In Canyon Village just east of Canyon Junction
Amenities: Running water, flush toilets, grills and picnic tables, dump station, camp store, showers nearby
Demand: Extreme. This is the most popular campground in the park, and probably the best located. Expect it to be full throughout the summer season. Reserve as far in advance as possible.
Grant Village Campground
Size & Cost: 425 sites, $34 per site

Location: 1.8 miles south of West Thumb Junction on the South Entrance Road
Amenities: Running water, flush toilets, grills and picnic tables, dump station, camp store, showers nearby

Indian Creek Campground

Lewis Lake Campground

Demand: Very high. As with all Yellowstone campgrounds, sites are in high demand during the summer season.
Madison Campground

Location: Just west of Madison Junction on West Entrance Road

Demand: Very high. This campground is well located for the thermal areas of the park. Reservations are suggested.
Mammoth Campground

Location: 0.8 miles north of Mammoth Junction on North Entrance Road
Amenities: Running water, flush toilets, grills and picnic tables, limited in winter
Demand: Very high. This is the only campground in Yellowstone open all year. It is in the popular Mammoth Hot Springs area of the park, and is not very large. Arrive early to increase your chances of finding a spot.
Norris Campground

Location: 0.8 miles north of Norris Junction on the Norris to Mammoth section

Pebble Creek Campground
